What is phpChess?
phpChess is a cost only chess server project that allows everyone to have their own chess server. This is not a comercial project, but simply covers costs only (hosting, development, distribution, documentation and so on). No saleries are drawn, and the coders simply get the lions share of the license.
We are now working on a new version of phpChess, but require a serious cash injection to complete the project (due out in January 2009). The main aim is to bring life chess playing to everyone. While phpChess is currently focused on correspondence chess, the new version is a full blown real-time server. This will not only enable us to make the next step, but will also help us to release the current version of phpChess as free of charge.
